What
is Reiki?
Reiki
is a gentle system of natural
healing originating in Japan. The
word Reiki means “universal life force energy”. A
Reiki treatment is generally soothing and relaxing. Recipients may feel sensations of heat, cold, tingling or
peace in their bodies as Reiki is applied.
How
does Reiki work? Reiki
promotes well being by supporting the body’s ability to heal
itself. There
is no belief
system attached to Reiki, you only need a desire to improve
your physical, mental, emotional
or spiritual well
being.
What
does Reiki treatment
involve? Reiki
is applied through clothing. It
can pass through anything, even plaster casts.
The practitioner gently places
their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions which
cover the whole body.
Reiki
flows to the areas of need, soothing pain and supporting the
body’s natural ability to heal.

also a practitioner in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
