What
is No Hands Massage?
No
Hands Massage is an exciting new technique which offers a vibrant,
effective and dynamic approach to enhance wellbeing.
The controlled
use of the practitioner’s body weight,
when combined with the soft front of the forearm, produces an
extremely powerful and deep massage which is safe and effective
for people of all ages.
The No Hands Massage approach is powerful and deeply relaxing,
being beneficial for muscular complaints, stress and wellbeing.
The muscle fibres are worked smoothly and extensively which
warms and stretches the muscles, facilitating postural unlocking,
unwinding and releasing of tension.
This potent massage invites systemic release of tension throughout
the body as well as a specific release of the muscles or area
being worked at one time.
How
does No Hands Massage work?
Massage
is an aid to circulation, which can help to improve the flexibility
of joints, increasing their range of motion. Muscle tone is
often improved as a result of massage, as the waste products
present in the muscles are eliminated.
Increased
circulation also delivers an increased oxygen supply to the
cells of the body; this can speed up metabolism and lead to
healthier cell function
What
is No Hands Massage used for?
What
does No Hands Massage treatment involve? A specific
area of the body causing concern can be treated or, if preferred
the whole body could be treated.
Following
a detailed medical history you will be asked to undress to
your underwear or removing only the clothing you feel comfortable
to do so, while I leave the room. Once undressed you will lie
on the treatment couch usually face down to begin with and
cover yourself with the towels. I will re-enter the room
once you have finished undressing and are covered up.
A No Hands
Massage will usually begin with the back, shoulders, back of
the legs, feet and arms. The towels will be moved to access
the areas being worked on at that time and then re-covered.
After turning over, the front of both legs and shoulders are
then massaged.
If you do
not wish a certain area of the body to be treated, for example
the legs, these would be avoided at your request and more time
would be spent on the other areas of the body, which you are
comfortable to be treated.
Length
of No Hands treatment and cost
- Part
body massage – concentrating
on a problem area of the body (approx
30 minutes) £20
- Full body
aromatherapy
massage (approx 1 hour) £30.
