The Creative Health Centre Donation Day.

The team at The Creative Health Centre hosted a special Charity Donation Day, offering a range of mini-treatments in exchange for donations. The day was held in order to raise funds for the 200km walk that Tony Concannon will be completing in June with his daughter, Nysha, along the Camino de Santiago in Spain. The walk is raising funds for Our Lady’s Hospice, an end of life hospice in Dublin, that cared for Tony’s eldest daughter, Aife who sadly died last year. Tony is the Clinical Director at the Creative Health Centre, which has been part of the local community for 7 years, he says “I have decided to walk the norther part of the Camino to honour Aife’s memory and raise funds for the very exceptional work that was done on her behalf and continues to be done for patients at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross, Dublin. The staff and the underfunded service do incredible work for the sick and dying and deserve our admiration and respect for their compassionate and selfless endeavours”.

The event went extremely well, with all those in attendance enjoying the range and variety of treatments on offer. This was a great opportunity for people who have wanted to learn more about acupuncture, sports massage, reflexology along with many other treatment options to meet the therapists in person and find out more about the amazing benefits. The team raised £460.00 in total for the day and the event was covered by the Stourbridge News.

Tony was delighted with how smoothly the event went and the positivity it brought to a sad situation, “I would like to thank all the staff for their valuable time and to all who came and enjoyed our charity day.”

The Mayor and Mayoress joined in the complimentary health taster treatments enjoying raising funds for a worthy cause whilst learning more about the benefits that acupuncture and many other alternative therapies can bring into people's lives.
