Emotional
Freedom Technique (EFT)
at the
Creative Health Centre, Brierley Hill, Stourbridge
What
is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)?
EFT
is based on a discovery that has provided thousands with relief
from pain, diseases and emotional issues. Simply stated, it
is acupuncture without needles used to release emotional feelings
and issues that block our energy fields.
How
does Emotional
Freedom Technique (EFT)?
Electrical
messages are constantly sent through your body to keep it informed
of what’s going on. It has been proven that disruptions
or blockages in these electrical pathways can cause limiting
thoughts and emotions and lead to ill-health.
EFT uses
gentle pressure on meridian points – the body’s
electrical, or energy pathways – to change the way energy
travels around the body. By tapping and pressing on the meridian
points, small shock waves are sent through the energy pathways
which stimulates smooth flow and clears blockages.

What
does Emotional
Freedom Technique (EFT) involve? EFT
involves the “tuning into” the issue and then tapping
on specific acupressure points with your fingers. For example
if you had a bad experience in the past, you would be asked
to think about it, and notice how you feel. But you do not
have to relive past events. You just have to be aware that
the negative feeling is there. Once you have “tuned in” to
the feeling you are shown which points to tap, and what words
to say as you do so. (Saying a few things also helps to disperse
the emotion from the system). Having done this you are then
asked to think about the situation again and check how you
feel. Typically (9 times out of ten), you will notice a significant
reduction in the intensity of the feeling. If it’s not
completely gone then the process is repeated, bringing the
intensity down each time until full balance is restored.
The tapping
is done by the client themselves while sitting on a chair,
unless it is difficult for them to do so.
